From Family Commuting to Park Patrol — Shanxian Meidi New Energy Covers Diverse Application Scenarios

17 Jul, 2026

When most people think of low-speed electric vehicles, they picture elderly residents running errands or parents picking up children from school. But for Shanxian Meidi New Energy Co., Ltd., that is just the beginning. The Shandong-based manufacturer has built a business around the idea that low-speed EVs can be much more than daily commuters — they can serve as park patrol vehicles, campus shuttles, farm transport, and even sightseeing cars.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Shanxian County — known as the "Hometown of Longevity" in China's Shandong Province — the company has grown into one of the industry's leading new energy electric vehicle manufacturers. With eight fully automatic assembly lines and two automatic painting lines, Meidi has an annual production capacity exceeding 120,000 vehicles.

A Vehicle for Every Need

Meidi's product portfolio spans multiple series, including the Xiaomili, Xiaoma, Xiaonuomi, Mika, Xingmai, and Su 8 models. Each is designed with specific use cases in mind.

The Xiaomili, a five-door five-seat mini EV with dimensions of 2700×1500×1580mm and a top speed of 50km/h, is equipped with a 1500W DC motor and available 60V/72V batteries. It comes with LED headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, a 9-inch display, reverse camera, radar, and power windows — making it an ideal choice for urban short-distance commuting and family travel.

For tighter urban environments, the Xiaoma model offers a compact two-door design with power windows, a 1500W motor, and four-wheel disc brakes. Its agility makes it perfect for navigating narrow streets and crowded neighborhoods.

Built for Challenging Conditions

The company has also paid special attention to regional needs. The Xiaonuomi model, for example, is specifically adapted for Northeast China's harsh winters. It features a 3000W AC motor that maintains strong performance in low temperatures, automotive-grade shock absorption, thickened seats, and optional air conditioning and range extenders to address cold-weather battery concerns.

Premium and Commercial Offerings

At the premium end, the Xingmai model measures 3800×1750×1700mm with a 2.6-meter wheelbase, creating a spacious five-seat cabin. Powered by a 3600W motor reaching speeds of 59km/h, it includes auto hold, thickened underbody protection, keyless start, a 10-inch display, voice connectivity, and reverse camera.

For commercial applications, Meidi produces cargo tricycles with loading capacities up to 400kg and 50km range per charge. These vehicles serve farm transport, express deliveries, and light cargo needs.

From Factory to the World

Meidi's sales network spans more than 20 Chinese provinces with over 300 distribution outlets, particularly in township markets across Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Guangdong, Guangxi, and central-western regions. The company also exports to more than 10 countries and regions.

With advanced manufacturing capabilities including stamping, robotic welding, electrophoretic coating, and intelligent assembly — plus MES digital management for full traceability — Meidi has positioned itself as a versatile player in the low-speed EV space. Whether it's a family's daily commute, a security guard's patrol route, or a farmer's cargo run, Shanxian Meidi New Energy is proving that low-speed electric vehicles can go far beyond the neighborhood street.
